Since its foundation, aquastyl has continuously searched for innovative materials to combine with our expertise in manufacturing products of the highest quality.
Our objective has always been to bring our customers technology and design without compromising functionality and performance.
For this reason we are developing new projects based on state-of-the-art technologies and innovative materials and, at the same time, maintaining our duty to preserve the environment (such as the use of solar energy) for future generations.

COMPONENTS

The choice of components used in our materials was made to optimise the performance of our finished products.

Methacrylate Resin (MMA): The methacrylate resin is a transparent material of excellent chemical and UV
resistance which binds all of the components of the sink together into a solid and complete unit.

Crystalline Silica: A completely natural product. Crystalline silica is an extremely hard material, which gives our sinks their excellent resistance to scratches and high temperatures.

Christobalite: An alternative form of Silica, it is bound into the MMA resin producing solid colour sinks with a high degree of properties.

Pigments: All pigments used by aquastyl are free of heavy metals, which are known to be environmentally harmful. They are uniformly milled and dispersed to give complete and even colour to our products.

MATERIALS

Various different combinations of the components described above produce the materials in the aquastyl range of sinks.

Granit: Matt granite effect. This is our most heat and scratch resistant material due to its greater proportion of crystalline silica.

Roc: Gloss granite effect. An intermediate proportion of crystalline silica results in a concentration of acrylic polymer at the surface and the smooth, glossy finish.

Quartz: Pure solid colours. The exclusive use of cristobalite filler allows the achievement of a solid colour effect.

Integrity: It is a range of colours available in Granit material matched to the colours of Silestone’s worktops.

MANUFACTURING PROCESS

All of our sinks are manufactured by injection moulding a liquid dispersion in a nickel-plated mould. The excellent durability of nickel guarantees a perfect finish to our products time after time.

The liquid dispersion is cured into a solid unit inside the mould by a temperature-controlled cycle, which eliminates potential defects and guarantees optimised performance from the finished sinks.
